Dieci Australia’s Haymaster 40.7 telehandler is packed with features that help farmers to take their hay and fodder management to a new level

Telehandlers are strengthening their foothold in the Australian agricultural market for their versatility, enabling farmers to complete a variety of important jobs.

While this versatility is important, sometimes a selection of specialised features is required for a particular industry – which is where Dieci’s Haymaster 40.7 telehandler comes into its own.

Hay and fodder management are this machine’s forte, with Dieci having designed it to excel in the challenging conditions experienced by those in this sector.

“The Haymaster 40.7 is designed with Australian farming conditions in mind, featuring a double reversible fan fitted to the engine cooling system and high velocity cab mounted condenser fans to help maintain performance in dusty, high-temperature environments,” Dieci Australia’s national sales manager Bob Mules says.

A four-tonne lift capacity and 7m maximum lift height give insight into the Haymaster 40.7’s raw specifications, along with its four-cylinder engine that produces 125hp (93kW).

Two of its standout features are manoeuvrability and compactness, along with a narrow turning radius that allows for work in tight spaces.

Combined with precision and promptness in its response to controls, Dieci says the result is a fluid machine that will “guarantee exceptional work comfort in complete safety”.

The Haymaster 4t Telehandler is Perfectly Precise

Ease of operation has been at the forefront when Dieci designed the Haymaster 40.7.

Its high-efficiency steering system provides what is described as an “effortless handling experience”, with the steering remaining responsive even under heavy load conditions.

Using the Powershift transmission, combined with the right work mode, enables easy manoeuvring.

The Powershift transmission is perfectly suited to long-distance travel, Dieci adds, making it ideal for efficiently moving between paddocks while maintaining smooth and reliable performance.

An inching pedal provides further control, with this vital feature allowing travel speed to either momentarily slow down or completely stop – while still offering maximum power to boom functions.

This helps to increase precision and productivity during delicate operations, giving further evidence of the Haymaster 40.7’s capabilities in tight spaces.

Combining the electronic inching pedal and accelerator means it is possible to move the telehandler forward in a slow and controlled way, even with the boom at maximum height.

“With a Powershift transmission capable of speeds up to 40km/h, impressive towing force and exceptional steering responsiveness, the Haymaster 40.7 allows farmers to move efficiently between tasks and fields enhancing productivity and performance,” Mules says.

The Haymaster 40.7’s towing force is 8,200daN, along with a pull-out force of 6,000daN, giving operators confidence the Haymaster 40.7 can handle heavy duty jobs.

A Load Limiter Device analyses vehicle stability in real time and prevents any aggravating movements when preset safety limits are reached.

A Deadman sensor, combined with an operator presence sensor in the seat, prevents accidental operation and gives another layer of safety assurance.

The Haymaster 4t telehandler also features a four-in-one hydraulic control distributor single joystick which can fully operate the boom, and it also features proportional and simultaneous controls and easy and practical direction control.

Haymaster 40.7 4t telehandler – Perfectly Suited to Australian Farms

As a specialised telehandler for hay and fodder management, there are several examples which Dieci highlights of its practical benefits for Australian farmers.

It is capable of lifting and moving large and heavy items, meaning farmers can move their hay and fodder from field stacks into either storage or mixers during livestock feeding operations.

Efficiency is the key with the Haymaster 40.7’s operations, whether it is quickly placing hay into feeders or mixers, or efficiently loading trucks with cereals, manure or produce.

Dieci says it is also an ideal unit for distributing feed, cleaning stables, and transporting manure.

A 146-degree fork swivelling angle rotation has been specifically designed to increase the operating arc, particularly when unloading with the boom raised.

The boom is made of high resistance steel and features load sensing and flow sharing distributors for more simultaneous movements during operation.

It also features Dieci’s patented single compensation cylinder, which is located inside the lifting ram and ensures the boom’s load is balanced at all times.

Other important and impressive features of the Haymaster 40.7 include two distinct radiators respectively dedicated to water and oil cooling, along with numerous thermal sensors which protect the propulsion system against any problems caused by overheating.

Like any successful agricultural machine, the Haymaster 40.7 has been designed around providing an excellent operator experience and Mules believes it has achieved what Australian farmers are looking for.

“Operator comfort and visibility play a huge role in productivity on a farm,” he says.

“The Haymaster 40.7 delivers with panoramic cab views, Australian-designed air conditioning, air suspension seating and intuitive joystick controls that make long hours in the cab more comfortable, less fatiguing and ultimately more productive.”

The Haymaster 40.7 complements other industry-specific Dieci telehandlers such as the Poultry Pro, Piggery Pro and Cotton Pro, while the manufacturer’s range also includes other models designed for agriculture such as the Agri Farmer, Agri Plus, Agri Max and Agri Pivot.

All products are available Australia-wide, with major branches in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth as well as an extensive regional parts, service and dealer network.

Dieci Telehandlers also feature a comprehensive 3 year / 3000 hour warranty for complete peace of mind.
